Mutate Collective Presents 'Fractalia Festival'

'Fractalia' is an experimental arts festival exploring the ever-expanding cracks in cemented knowledges and what deliciously strange things are seeping out of them; those tantalising things which beg us to zoom in closer. There is something about looking microscopically that creates potential for points of exchange. What do we see when we are lent new eyes? What do we find when we are taught how to use them?
We desire obscure knowledges, experiences, bodies and stories to spill out into the belly of Toynbee Studos. It is often assumed that cracking under pressure presents a weakness – allow us to offer an alternative position of viewing these cracks, and everything that oozes through them, as a pathway to catharsis.
Indulge in conversations centring strangeness; the taboo, the speculative, the outrageous, the subversive, and the alluring. We bring together artists who explore embodied knowledges and alternate ways of knowing through a multitude of artistic forms. We strive to abstract norms and delve into their deconstruction – holding space for the dialogues that emerge.
Mutate Collective brings you 'Fractalia' to offer a space to (re/de)form. As we connect with new people, we grow, we mutate, we take this shape together.
