Basil Else (they/them)
Basil Else is an artist and performer hailing from North Yorkshire. Their work with solo performance mainly explores questions of what it means to operate as a body in the UK's current climate, informed by their own experiences as a queer, trans, neurodivergent, working class person raised in rural surroundings with a strong connection to the natural world. When they aren't writing hard-hitting, introspective, politically relevant work, they enjoy painting their face and looking deeply silly while lip-syncing to songs your parents used to play on long car journeys, and writing poems in their notes app when they were supposed to be making a shopping list.
