Natalia Anabella Vamvakitis (they/she)
Living, laughing, loving <3 Natalia Anabella Vamvakitis is an experimental artist drawn towards putting stories of human and ecological displacement at the forefront of creative practice; developing work deconstructing and reconfiguring through themes of xenophobia, linguistic chauvinism, cultural-self conception, and diaspora based on their mixed Latinx heritage and third-culture experience. Ultimately working to deconstruct colonial identities and re-indigenize the theatre eco-system through ritualizing performance within their practice, they use movement, humor, and radical love to bridge the gaps between audience and artist. Seeking the joys of creation through a queer lens in-spite of (and to spite!) the knowledge of an ever-present violent past - there is always harmony in the chaos.
