Owen's Work: Page 29-30
Owen is a Theatre Maker, Composer, Writer and Artist originally from Nottinghamshire, now living in London, studying Experimental Art and Performance at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in North London.
With a background in scenography and design, his practice is closely linked to immersive theatre, where he sews visceral technical elements into the fabric of his work to use more than just words to convey ideas. He explores ideas surrounding society, marginalised communities, working-class life, and psychology through performance and art.
He also has a background in music and a passion for making musical theatre. He has a commitment to the arts, particularly it's accessibility to communities and young people from less affluent backgrounds.
Aside from his studies, he has worked in Drama education, teaching Film & TV and Comedy & Drama at the Pauline Quirk Academy in Nottingham and London. In addition to this, he has worked as a Youth Worker in Nottinghamshire, where he delivered arts and media sessions to young people in schools and community settings.
